FAQ
1) What is AERO, and who guides the experience (am I ever “alone with a machine”)?
AERO is a human-supervised tattoo device used as a studio tool. It places precise, high-
definition dots at a consistent depth for clean, repeatable results. Each session is led by a
trained operator. They will consult on placement and fit, consider how the design sits with your
anatomy and any surrounding tattoos, apply the stencil, position you, execute the tattoo,
handle cleanup, and provide aftercare instructions.
2) What design options can I choose?
We are actively offering custom text tattoos with curated Bang Bang font options, as well as custom designs on a case-by-case basis.
3) Where on the body does AERO tattoo today?
AERO places intentional dots with high depth control for crisp, repeatable detail. It is currently
optimized for flatter areas of the arms and legs, which supports stable positioning and
accuracy.
4) How does booking with AERO work?
Click the ‘MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AERO’ button and add your contact info. We’ll email you to
confirm your idea and collect a clear placement photo (include a coin for scale). For text, share
your word or phrase and a font choice. We review size and placement with you using your
photo. We’ll coordinate available dates and deposit details as part of scheduling.
5) Can you do color tattoos?
Not yet. AERO currently offers black-and-gray, dot-based work tailored to your skin using a
grayscale calibration.
6) How does the sensation compare to a traditional tattoo?
9/10 clients surveyed reported a 1 out of 10 on the pain scale. AERO controls needle depth precisely and avoids
repeated wiping of the area, which reduces irritation.
7) How long will I be in the studio, and can I take a bathroom break?
Expect about 1 to 3 hours in-studio for a text piece, including setup and wrap-up. We can share
a more accurate time estimate once your tattoo design is finalized. Short breaks are fine, and
your operator will cue a good pause point.
8) What happens if I move during the tattoo?
Your skin is gently stabilized and the system monitors position. If a larger movement is
detected, AERO pauses so we can safely resume in the correct spot.
9) How do you confirm my design and placement before the appointment?
Before you arrive, we confirm size, orientation, and location with you using your placement
photo. In the studio, we verify placement on skin, then apply a stencil that
guides accurate application.
